About The Medical Bill Detective

Medical bills shouldn't require a detective. But for most people, a hospital statement and an insurance EOB look like two different languages — and they rarely seem to agree.

The Medical Bill Detective reads the documents you upload, pulls out the numbers, explains them in plain English and points out potential discrepancies worth asking about. It then helps you write calm, clear questions for the billing office or your insurer.

It is an information tool. It does not give medical, legal, insurance or financial advice, and it never decides that a bill is wrong. Only your provider and your insurer can confirm that.

Your documents stay private. They are stored in access-controlled storage, are never shown to advertisers, and you can delete them at any time.

Important: The Medical Bill Detective provides informational assistance based on the documents you provide. It does not provide medical, legal, insurance, or financial advice and does not determine whether a bill is legally valid, fraudulent, or incorrect. Potential discrepancies should be verified with your healthcare provider and/or insurance company.
